How much does NITAS cost?

Employers and Training providers can register, create profiles and use the system for their IT workers and students for free.

The only costs are for processing the NITAS Certificate of Completion for each IT worker or student when they complete a track. Processing a NITAS Certificate of Completion for an IT worker is $35.00, processing a NITAS Certificate of Completion for a student is $25.00.

What is the value of utilizing NITAS as an Employer?

Employers can use the NITAS system at no charge to train their current IT workers towards industry standardized competencies, ensuring your workers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs.

NITAS reports can provide up-to-date assessment reports on what competencies each of your workers have validate and what they still need to learn. NITAS provides one place to track worker progress on training classes, certifications and competencies.

What is the value of utilizing NITAS as a Training Provider?

Training providers can use the NITAS system at no charge to map their classes to industry standardized competencies, and provide a ROI tool that can be used by employers that shows your students are able to take what they learn in the classroom and do it on the job, by demonstrating competencies to coaches and having them validated.

Your students can use the system when working an internship to structure their on-the-job learning around industry developed and endorsed competencies within a particular job-role.

Lastly, your students can earn an additional industry credential by completing a track and making them much more attractive to potential employers.

What is the value of an IT worker or student earning a NITAS Certificate of Completion?

IT workers and students can use the system to structure their on-the-job learning around industry developed and endorsed competencies within their particular job-role. Earning an industry and U.S. Department of Labor endorsed credential upon completion of a track and having a virtual resume of validated skills to show potential employers.

What is the User Agreement that each Sponsor organization must agree or disagree to?

The user agreement that each Employer and Training Provider is asked to review and agree or disagree to concerns providing a fair, equal and standardized program to their current workers that is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship. By agreeing, your program will be recognized by NITAS and the U.S. DoL and each Certificate of Completion will include endorsements from both organizations.

By disagreeing, employers and training providers may still use the system to validate skills, track classes and certifications, however, Certificates of Completion will only have the NITAS endorsement on them.

Can NITAS be customized for our particular needs?

Yes, employers, training providers, industry associations, etc, can partner with CompTIA to utilize the NITAS system to track, coach and validate competencies in any type of job-role or industry.
